Thank you all for your kind help. Sorry for the delay in replying.

I'm helping people who are doing adoption searches. It's just a hobby.

:-) :-) :-)

If you find an address, all be it until say until 2014, you can check if its been sold via an estate agent on https://www.zoopla.co.uk/house-prices/
Its not much help if the house is a rental or HA property.

As long as you have a general area or an unusual surname, see if they are listed in the phone book
https://www.thephonebook.bt.com/en-gb/

From posts on other boards, it would appear that you are trying to trace an adoptee's birth relatives. As you know, death indexes after 2006 aren't online. If there is a possibility they may have died, and their Estate went to Probate, checkout https://probatesearch.service.gov.uk/#wills

Only the documents will tell you if its the correct person, and they cost £10 per entry. It isn't necessary to submit probate to the nearest Registry - it could be sent to anywhere in the country. Not all estates go to probate.

192 besides having listed numbers do hold the edited version of electorlas, meaning those who havnt opted out of their address listing being public,192 and others obtain editited version from local councils......those that have opted out will not be listed and whos details should not be avaliable to made public.....the exceptions are where companies do obtain full comprehensive lists and these then come under the Data Protection Act.

,,,,,192 and such dont as these lists are readily avaliable in libaries.

any such listings are only as good as the day any forms were filled in..anytime after and the person could have moved..

192 .com does have electoral rolls but they won't be complete if people have opted out of the public roll

It's is a pay to view site though

I am doing an adoption search and needing to find up-to-date names and addresses.

I am looking for the most complete records and am happy to subscribe if necessary.

Is 192.com the best place? Is the Electoral Roll there?

Any help gratefully received :-)
