For info - using MMN births pre-1911

Also very useful for discovering children who died in infancy, between one census and the next.

And for verifying the births you thought were the right ones for a particular family.
I thought for years that I'd found the birth of one of my people - right name, place and year - but GRO's mms listing proved it wasn't him after all.

Yes it's been available for some time,
Amongst other things it saves buying the wrong certs when looking for children of a couple on the 1911 census who state how many chiidren deceased

Very handy in not wasting money on wrong certs

Hi all. I might look a bit dim if all of you know this already! But for anyone who doesn't, you can search birth indexes using MMN before 1911 on GRO site. I only found this out last week! :-)
