Im looking for any children born to my mother before 1954. Mum was born 1914 any tips greatly appreciated :-)

Would this be in England or Wales?

Assuming she was married put in her husbands surname in the surname box and her maiden name in the mothers name box. Select a suitable county and time frame.
If she was still single, use her maiden name in both surname boxes.

There's no guarantee that any results are your mothers children; you'd need to purchase the birth certificates for the details which at £9.25 each could work out expensive!

If you already know their names, and they weren't adopted, then use the same site for potential marriages and/or deaths to c1960.
They may appear on electoral rolls.
See if anyone has the names on their tree on this site by using search all members trees, top right under Search. Send the tree owner a message to ask if they are related. It might be better to search for your mother under her maiden name.
