Do you know whereabouts in Germany they came from? There are a lot of German records on familysearch.org. I managed to get quite a lot of information about OH's ancestors from Bavaria.

Have you tried the Anglo German FHS? They may be able to help you or at least point you in the right direction. I don't have their contact details to hand but I am sure you will find them if you google.

Can anybody tell me where to start in tracing ancestors who came from Germany?
