John Kershaw lived in Keighly, Yorkshire when he was married to my Grandmother.
His daughter Vera and two unknown sons from a previous marriage lived away from home as they were grown up by the time John Married my Grandmother

Really better to put this info on the other thread and delete this one as it will only mean people are dodging from one to the other for the important info to try and help..

There were 73 John Kershaws b 1901+/-2, of whom 58% were b in Lancs, so you're quite likely to be correct in your roots guess.

For you to make progress, I think you need your gran's m.cert to find out John's dad's name - knowing of any of John's siblings would help, too.

Was John your grandad?

John Kershaw born around 1901, England widowed thenmarried to my Grandmother Alice Betrice Eade in Lewisham 1951? She eventually moved to Lancashire so not sure if this is where his roots were. Does anyone have any information or links to this family?
