Hi, trying to find any information at all on Thomas Moon and Elizabeth Wells. I believe they married around 1739 and I know of 7 children who were born in Rye. They include: Henry b. 1740; William b. 1742; Elizabeth b. 1744; William b.1747; Williams b. 1747; Anne b.1748 and Stephen b. 1749. there may be another older son Thomas named after his father but I need help, don't have a birth or death. The family largely migrated to the Rolvenden area and I know the descendants of Henry and Williams eventually emigrated to Australia onboard Maitland and Cornwall in 1838 and 1839 respectively. Any help with the Rye connection would be wonderful

A tree on Ancestry says they were married 2 June 1728. Doesn't ring true for me if first child wasn't born until 1740.

Edit: A lot of trees have this same marriage date. Probably copied from each other.

Thanks so much all. Clarifies what I have. It would be nice to know more about Thomas where he lived what he did who his parents were. I wonder what event made the siblings all move 12 miles away to Rolvenden. Are there court records for the time in Rye?
