Sorry Jax, I just thought it possible that you hadn't seen the Windows 7 reference.

I have windows 7 that's why I replied to this thread...If I had windows 8 it wouldn't have been relevant to the question, now would it?

Thanks KenSE
That makes sense

I think IE11 works fine with Windows 8 and 8.1 which is probably why Jax's is OK.

Have been on to Windows online help chatline who have confirmed there is an issue with compatability on IE10 & IE11 using Windows 7 and say I should stay on IE9 which I will now do.
It does not explain how Jax manages to view trees unless he is using another system.

GR appear unable to advise why their Tree Views that work on my IE9 Browser settings will not work on IE10 or IE11. I am open to any ideas the forum may have on this before I resort to Windows help.

Hi Jax
Thanks for your interest. No GR is not included in my compatability view settings.
Also GR could only suggest unblocking Pop Ups which I have done.
All to no effect.

So is it included in your compatibility view settings? it is on my computer, I had to remove FMP when they updated their system and was unable to view the images.

GR suggested the same as you with unticking compatability settings but this had no effect so am waiting to hear what else could be interfering.

Hi Jax
Thanks for that re-assurance however meantime I have restored to IE9 and it all
works fine again as normal.
GR won't respond now till maybe Monday but it would seem clear to me there is a problem with GR using IE10 amd IE11.

When My laptop upgraded to IE11 I wasn't able to use the site until I added it to my compatibility view settings.....I have not taken it off and I have had no problems and I use the site every day

Hi Jax
I have tried all the moves I can see on compatability view settings but nothing seems to work. Am waiting for GR Support to come back to me.

Hi Hannah
On your re-assurance I have updated to IE11 but now I am unable to view my tree or any contacts trees.
Do you have any suggestions please?

Hi Michael

Genes Reunited should now be working without any problems on IE11.

If you have or if anyone else is experiencing any problems please do let us know at [email protected].

Kind regards

Hannah

I am running Windows 7 on my computer using Internet Explorer 9.
I am being offered update to IE11 but have had problems with this in the past.
Can anyone confirm that GR works OK currently with IE11 please?
Mike
