I am trying to trace Elizabeth Louisa Parrott. Born Q1 1857 Oxford. Youngest daughter of William and Sarah Winchester. Last record I can find is 1881 Census living at 4 Thames St North Hinksey with her Aunt Eliza Hanks nee Parrott. I am unable to find a death or marriage or any other census. any help will be most appreciated. Thanks Valda

Thanks. Elizabeth was born Q1 1857 in Oxford so the death in 1888 in Strood would not be her. The death in 1945 is very possible. Parrott being her birth surname fits in with her being a spinster in the probate record. I am unable to find her in either 1901 1911 census however you are correct with the 1861/71/81 census. Will check out the one name study as I've not heard of it before. Many thanks again

I never intended to imply that the death of the Elizabeth in 1881 in Strood was Elizabeth herself .........................

I wondered if she could have had a child. OR a relative had had a child and given it the exact same names.

That is why I posted both the birth and death registrations, which occurred in 1887 and 1888.
