I am looking for the marriage of William Luffman to a Mary ?

William was of Whiteparish Wiltshire and Wiltshire OPC have the Whiteparish records online but I cannot see William there so he may have married in another parish

They baptised son Charles at Whiteparish in 1804.

I think William was born c 1776 from his 1841 census entry in the workhouse.

Thank you

Had a look at that one Brummiejan - think he's 74, Charles 47 so b 1804 and William 44 - have a look at the sons 4's

It could be a good bet for the family - Google has West Tytherley and Frenchmoor linked. Both are in Hants along with Lockerley, but within a couple of miles or so of Whiteparish in Wilts. Still don't know where the workhouse comes in.

The Luffman family tree on Ancestry has
Wm b 1780 Whiteparish, spouse 1 as MAry Luffman b 1781 child Charles b 1805 and Spouse 2 Peggy Luffman b 1772 with children Charis b 1824 and Wm b 1837 which would tie in with the census transcript ages, - but I think Peggy would have been doing very well to have had those two!
MAry is said to be aged 60 on the 1841 at West Wellow, Wilts, but Wm not mentioned

Thank you all for trying ,your efforts are much appreciated !

Stuart-I cannot find that William again either I wrote it down at the time too :-S

Jan-no that is not them in 1851
Charles(born 1804) married a Mary Noble at Plaitford (Wilts) in 1830 and is in West Wellow in 1841 with a second Mary age 60 presumably his mother,he then moves to the New Forest.

Have looked at the 1841 census you refer to ElizabethK - I would say that the older Mary is 80 looking at the original. Other 6's on the page are quite obviously 6's, hers looks more like an 8. There is an 8 to compare with on the opposing original page and if you can go back to the previous image a Sarah aged 8. Can't read her surname but look for a Mary Snellgrove aged 40 and she is a couple of lines above her.

Hmmmmmm

A William Luffman married a Margaret Edmonds in 1803 at Lockerly Hants
as far as I can see they had 3 children Elizabeth 1804-William 1810 and Henry 1813
(from the Hampshire Bapt Index) so must be a different family
