Also, allow for possible mis-spelling of her surname..........

Thank you for all the replies. I am truly amazed. Joseph was born 1915 under the name of Mcloughlin. Agnes was born 1888 ancoats manchester (I think) and died around 1962/3 I think her full name was Mary Agnes Brierley/Mcloughlin. :-0

There is another member who has Joseph Brierley McLoughlin born 1915 in their tree.

Hello Maureen, do you know where and when Agnes was born?

Or do you know when and where she died - the death record might just give us a birth date. (Sometimes tracing her back over might help us connect to her husband).

Your parents marriage certificate should name the father.

I wonder if Joseph was born before Agnes married?

They would seem to have been born after WW1 so maybe she was married before and widowed . Her marriage would show with her then current name not maiden name.

I can see births for all the children except Joseph.

Cannot see a marriage for Agnes. Any idea where or when she was born?

Hi, I am trying to trace my grandfather's christian name. My grandmother was Agnes Brierley nee Mcloughlin. She lived at Back Mill Street, Ancoats Manchester from around 1920. She had a daughter Edith and sons Joseph, Albert, Harold and Wilfred. Help would be much appreciated. :-S
