	There are several trees on that other site with this person on them, but the information is muddled on some. There's some good information re Romanies/travellers here: http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/board,387.0.html Also, there are a few other members on this site who have him in their tree. Maybe worth checking for further info. Will send Estelle one of my messages on how to return... ;-) Got my norty head on today :-D :-D :-D Cx

	A tree on another site has this attached, but as they have different parents to you for William Clifton Buck, it may not be the correct person England & Wales, Criminal Registers, 1791-1892 about William Buck William Buck Age: 30 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1818 Date of Trial: 9 Oct 1848 Trial Year: 1848 Location of Trial: Clerkenwell, Middlesex, England Sentence: 3 Months Imprisonment for larceny

	My husband and I have spent the weekend working on our tree. We have been tracing his line and have discovered his 3xG grandfather was a traveller. I am keen to learn more about him but seem to be drawing a blank. This is what I have so far: William Clifton Buck was born in 1818 in Shoreditch. He married Charlotte Perkins in 1840 in Kent. Their daughter Emma Clifton Buck was born in 1841 in Kent. The family did end up back in Shoreditch though where Emma married Charles Pearce in 1864 in Hoxton. I have managed to locate them in each census. William was later shown as a hawker. I know William's father was also William Clifton Buck. I guess he was born around 1790-1800. I am now keen to learn more about them. A Google search tells me Buck was a Romany name. And the fact he was a traveller when he married and then later a hawker does imply there may be Romany blood in them, I'd be grateful for any help you can give though! Thanks and merry Christmas!
