i have a relative who is still alive, her birth is proving elusive to find in record's,
i have checked free bmd, genes, lancs bmd,it does not come up on any of them,
her 1st marriage come's up on all site's .
this is bugging me as there is no reason why it should not come up.

has anyone else come across this problem.

If you can't find a birth in the name you think she was born with - consider that she could have been born before her parents married - assuming they did so.

it is complicated as the children my ggranny had after 1927 were with a different father but were named with the surname of her deceased husband and she used her married name as her maiden name as well,
