So did you purchase this birth cert after being advised it was the wrong one?
Births Sep 1921 (>99%)
Williams Phyllis E Francis Cardiff 11a 902

So there is no fathers name? maybe she was not born Williams then?

We do know that her birthday was 21st Dec 1921 that is true and there is no fathers name on marriage cert just a line through it.
I will try the Electoral Roll for 1946 and see what happens thanks for your input.

How do you know that her birth 21st Dec 1921 is true?

If she did not know who her father was then you would think she was illigitimate so her birth would be registered as Williams and mmn Williams unless she was adopted by the Williams family or her mother married a mr Williams after she was born?

The birth date is true as we have got paper work on the adoption papers.
I might be ahead of my self looking at Phyllis's wedding cert the witness was jean davies there is a birth of a Phyllis Williams registered in 1922 mothers maiden name Davies in Swansea this is possible ??
