As JC says, fustian was a heavy twilled cotton fabric - it included corduroy and moleskin, like the miners used to wear. I've only heard of miners wearing moleskin trousers, never seen the things - maybe it's like the moleskin patches you wear when you're hiking and you've got a blister coming on |
