Gill sometimes I think I need to be dunked in a vat of something extremely alcoholic and then pegged out to dry. I was thinking to myself why 1897 aswell. Oh the havoc I could cause if I had a brain. :-S

Out of couriosity I did a FreeBMD for just the first name Jubliee. I searched 1887-9 and there were loads. So I expanded Mar 1880 to Dec 1900. Even more - male and female. Lots of Jubilee Victorias around particularly 1887. The one fascinating to me was Jubilee Waterloo Reeves b.1883. I'd love to have his name on my tree. :-) J

It's surprising how many Jubilees there are, I hadn't realised till I found Lily,They are all 1887 or 1897 for the diamond Jubilee.

Try this one. He was a brother of my maternal grandfather. Sadly he and his family were killed in the Coventry Blitz.

Hi Brummiejan.
I have toyed with that one before but for some reason knowing the family I can't see her as a servant might be wrong though, I have got a copy of that census but until I find something before I can't make a decision . Thank's any way.

Possibly but people don't seem to be as patriotic as they were.

I have a birth certificate for Lily Victoria Jubilee Green born 2 March 1887 Newcastle Staffs, Parents Joseph Alexander Green a Inland Revenue Officer and Louisa/ise Gunday/ Gundey. I can't find any census records until Lily is married in 1911 to Jesse Eurdley in Shanklin. Also know marriage for Joseph & Louise/ Louisa in England & Wales. Could there be a record in Scotland?
