ordering a marriage cert

Hi everyone,
Would I be able to order a marriage cert for 1951. I can't prove that this person is a relation. I have the reference number from free BMD.

Yes, you can order online from GRO. Anyone can order certs. They cost £9.25.

There is a 50-year restriction on ordering birth certs, but none that I am aware of on others
