Can anyone please help me? I am trying to find a marriage for Frederick James White born 30th March 1887 in Shoreditch Middlesex (parents- Joshua and Mary White). Unfortunately I do not know whom he married or when but there were 4 children of the marriage- one of whom was called Ron, Ronnie or Ronald and I believe one was called Sheila who emigrated to Australia. I would be grateful for any assistance as I have been struggling with this for months. Thanks

Not sure when he first moved to Norfolk and met Jess bur know that they returned to London and Palmers Green post war years but then moved to Norfolk in 1952, During the war he owned a cafe/guest house in Attleborough Norfolk but believe he had something to do with metal/tin ? in London. He was in the first world war and was shot in the leg so there must have been a pension but again I can't find anything

A high % of WW1 records were burnt during WW2 bombing - it might be that Frederick's were amongst those.

It may be the wrong people, but at least you can confirm or rule out the Cook/White marriage.

Just to clarify........

Were Ron and Sheila children of the first marriage, so born before 1943, or were they Jessamine's children born after that year?

I have been searching from a different angle and found a Ron and Sheila who seem to be siblings, but maybe a red herring.

Yes Ron and Sheila are from first marriage born before 1943 and not to Jessamine, there are 2 other siblings as well names unknown

Maybe this is way too random, but perhaps others could look at this too.........

I looked on the archives of Australia site for records of a Sheila WHITE travelling to Australia..... You get people nee WHITE too.

There was a Sheila Joan born 1935 ( birthdate shown) so I looked for her on freebmd and found she could have had a brother Ronald born in the same area. There were possibly 1 or 2 other children in that area as well.

Trouble is this is well away from the area originally mentioned by Bikergirl

Don't want to be too specific as these could be living people with no connection.
