Which records? Surviving service records are now online along with medal rolls for the Crimea. Have looked at numerous Muster Rolls for the Crimea at Kew which are very interesting and informative. |

Hi annielaurie, not sure really, have found a reference that suggests my gt grandfather fought in the Crimea so just wondered what records might apply :-) |

Have a look on FindMyPast for any discharge papers for him. Also, have a look on Ancestry at the Medal Rolls. |

What makes you think he served in the Crimea? What was his name? Any idea of regiment? |

Hi annielaurie, sorry for not replying sooner. I don't know for certain he was in the Crimea, but I am taking it from this passage in a book found online, ( a while back but have just remembered it and thought I would try and find out more) |

No medals for a Fishlock on Ancestry for the right period - well there's one for a Noah but it's noted in the roll that he died. |

Thanks again Annielaurie, yes I found Noah who as far as I know is not related, there was quite a bit about him in various newspapers. |
