I am trying to find the family of Elizabeth Weaver who married Henry Harbach of Wychbold Dodderhill Worcestershire c 1833. She died in Wychbold c 1890.
I am particularly interested in who her parents and grandparents were. The only record I can find is Betsy Weaver 1813 Hanbury, parents George and Mary. Is that her? In the 1881 census she was widowed and still living in Wychbold. Her name is recorded as Elizabeth in this document too.


I do appreciate any help that you can give me. You've been so good in helping me discover other relatives.

Yes that's her, LIndsey, with her husband and children. She was my great-great Grandmother. Funny if she was christened Betsy and then used the name Elizabeth all her life. (if that's really her ??) I would imagine that it was unusual to use diminutives like Betsy as Christian names in those days, though I know many people do use them today.

I'm off to look where Eastham, Worcester is. I've never even heard of it. Until I began looking for the people who married into the Harbach family I didn't realise how much people moved around to find work etc.

did you find Eastham? It appears to have been near Tenbury Wells Worcs but it doesn't appear on the map I have, I googled it.

I googled it too. It's near the Malvern Hills. I then went to Google Earth. It seems to be a very small village nowadays. Beautiful English country-side though.

Bets(e)y was quite a common name back then .... both as a diminutive and as a "proper" name

In 1881 and other censuses, Elizabeth does say she was born in Hanbury
