I'm transcribing a Church marriage in 1885 in Liverpool which isnt dated by day or month. Not come across this before and I wondered how GRO would send a copy out. |

Does it show up on FreeBMD at all? The reference may help the GRO to find it. You do mean that there is no date in the church register? Wierd! Is the cert signed as it would be after the service? Maybe too much of the church wine :-) induced form-filling trauma. |

The date may have been entered on the copy sent to the Reg office, even if it was an assumption. |

It's only academic to me but the Wedding was by banns performed by a Minister and witnessed by 2 people and yes Chris, I'm transcribing from the original. GRO would see that Ceremony took place between 13th & 27th July. |

Well done LA, I'm impressed. All I can do is leave blank where no detail is written. |

One church record shows I've got an ancestors baptism taking place on 30th February, obviously it didn't. I even got staff at the records office to check I wasn't mis-reading it. |

Oh I didn't know that Alan. I knew St Judes was knocked down but I didn't realise what was there now. Thanks! |
