Post and threads are being RR'd for no apparent reason


Three threads have been RR'd in the last couple of hours

I have contacted GR, and will be keeping an eye open.

Doesn't seem any particular rhyme or reason for them..one I think looks as though it was reported for having a subject title of Ancestry (when you read the post they were looking for anscestors).

Strange.... :-(

The threads that were RR'd overnight appear to have been reinstated at about 8:00am UK time.

Don't put off until tomorrow doing what you can do today. If you like doing it today you can do it again tomorrow. Be kind to your children for it is they who will decide which care home you end up in.

Dunno about that Gai. In the past there have been some right goings on over on Chat. Even though posts were reported, they stayed on view until the office staff were in on the Monday, or the following day.

Its just so irritating that innocuous posts are being targetted. :-|

Hi Joy,

No I didn't receive anything or get an apology.

The first thing I knew about it was when I went back to the thread the following day ( after it had been RR'd, as I had gone to bed not long after I'd posted the reply ) as there were more replies added and I saw Roses post about Genes not having the said records anyway! :-S
I came looking on this board wondering what was going on and found Sylvia's thread explaining everything.

Thankfully there are Great GR members like her! :-D

A few years ago a similar situation caused large numbers of us to leave and set up our own genealogy website and forum. Looks like GR are approaching it with a little more compassion this time round! Good for them.
