Can anyone help me please I watched Friday's episode of Heir Hunters and solders in the 1st world war had to write a will on page 13 of their book? sorry I missed some of the episode so didn't get all the info I was after

1st What did they call the record book?
2nd What was the website they were looking at

any more info on the subject would be gratefully recieved Cheers ;-)

I didnt see the programme, but i know in WW2 it was called

Army Book 64

Soldiers record & Pay book

the actual will form was called Army Form B 2089. the info about wills starts on page 12 and goes through to page 15 in the pay book

I also know it was called the same in 1952 as i still have mine, the one from WW2 was that of my Uncle

Perhaps it was the same in WW1, but i dont know for sure.

It was his WW1 service or pension record that gave the family information record.

These records are on Ancestry, but be aware 70% were destroyed in WW2

Not all records were lost in ww2 There are some "Burnt Records " leftfrom that time Regards Bob B
