Hi folks.
I have never gone down the route of finding burials, but as I am a little stuck I just wondered what sort of useful info might be gleaned from these records?

Be very careful before you part with any money. If your ancestors were non-conformists or were buried in municipal cemeteries you will find very few - if any - of them on the NBI. If they were church people and were buried in churchyards you may be luckier. I bought the second edition and it's been useless for me.

It's a good tip, but unfortunately my family are pretty scattered so not sure if I could justify spending yet more cash on just one person! Generally I have done OK with most of them. but I have come to a halt in 1829 with my gg grandfather. My problem is, although I know he was born in Surrey, all I have is his birthplace & year and father's name. I have scoured Familysearch but to no avail, just wondered if looking for a burial might offer a clue.

Batmansdaughter found this for me last year, which is a very good possibility, but of his father John Horace (if I have the right one of course) there is no further sign.
