Am trying to find My mother In laws two sisters who moved from Woolwich in London at the end of the First World War to Canada after the eldest married a Canadian soldier they were Rose Elizabeth Barclay 1896 and Ellen Frances Barclay1898 can someone tell me how to find the records of Canadian Soldiers and Marriages with English Women or Emigration records anything that will lead to information on what happened to them we have heard nothing about them since they left England

If they married before they went to Canada then the marriages should be on FreeBMD

Yes, I thought Ellen Jr. must have arrived on the same ship as Ellen Sr. but I couldn't find the record of Ellen Sr. arriving.
Do you suppose it was Ellen Jr. or Sr. who married A.B. Lawson?

Edit, second thought it must have been Ellen Sr., the marriage was 1928 and if that's her death in B.C. she was born 1900.

Original says Thomas Sr. is a widower, born Ontario, a clergyman. I thought the attestation papers for Charles had given father's name as Rev. Thos. Lawson but couldn't be sure because it was crossed out and replaced by Charles' wife's name, Rose.
