My GG Grandmother was an early registered midwife (1904), the Wellcome Collection in Euston Road in London has copies of the Midwives Roll, I went there and found my ancestor's details, very exciting... Also, copies at the national archives. |

Can't answer your question but there was mention of Robin Gibb's relative being a midwife on last nights Who Do You Think You Are. They found the details about her on a register. Perhaps someone who was paying more attention than me can let you know-jl |
