By 1924 all men over 21 and women over 30 were enfranchised so it isn't strictly correct to say that there were not that many people who had the vote. |

Thanks Kath, What I was hoping to do is find out what infant schools there were at that time and search the streets in the local area. I know it will take time but thats ok. I;ve had success doing this in Birmingham. I was just wondering where to find the reference library, David x |

Electoral Registers are usually kept at the nearest reference library to the address. However they can only be searched by address and not by a person's name, so without the address it would take an awful long time to go through the Electoral Register for the whole area. |

My father lived with his parents in Muswell Hill, London from the age of 2 for about 5 years and went to an infant school near to where they lived. What I'm hoping to do is search the electoral rolls to see if I can find out the address of where they were living. How can I find out where the electrol registers are? |
