you need to find your grandfathers birth on freebmd and then sent for cert,that will tell you his parents names.x

You need to start with what you know for certain and work back steadily. For example, if you can locate the birth records of your parents you can get the birth cert and find out their parents' names that way. If this too difficult - maybe their names are very common - then if they married the cert will show their fathers' names.

Do try Freebmd for births, marriages and deaths 1837-about 1950:

if you want to give your father nor grandfather's details we can have a look for you. (I assume your grandfather is deceased also).

Hi all,

I hope someone out there is able to help me. I never knew my grandparents on either side of my family and my father passed away when I was young. I am really keen to find out about them but I've come stuck. I know one of my grandfathers date of birth and where he grew up but I don't know how to find his parent as I have no clue of their names. Im in the same predicament for other members of my family...I'm unsure how to find their parents. Please could someone help me!? I would really appreciate it.
