Hi just looking for my old family in wigan Ive been told my great grandad moved up to barnsley to find work but my father told me he does not know his first name any help would be helpful cheers nici :-D

we need names and dates

All I know is my grandfather was william Harrison born in 1916 in barnsley his mother was surname was called derbyshire my father no help can't remember his grandad and he was born in 42 all I know is that we think he came to work in pitts in barnsley thanks for help :-D

Thanks will ask dad or my nana who is 91 she might remember something but her memory going sometimes she talks rubbish but most of the time she knows what she is on about. worth a try otherwise all I know about them is from 1916 he did have brothers and maybe sisters :-D

I don't know my dads side we come from worsborough common but also there is worsborough bridge and worsborough dale, I do have family in worsborough bridge/dale on mothers side but they were called cooper. My dads name is also william sometimes they called him bill guess my nana not very good at comming up with names for babies ha ha so it might be my dad he also worked in pits till 90s and before that at a cothing company at worsborough bridge/dale called corahs in 60s before i was born i think. :-)
