With the name Helen it is interchangable normally with Ellen or Nellie or Eleanor ...not seen it with Eileen though |

If you got her birth from the baptism records that seems ok to me a year is nothing on marriage certs especially when a spouse is much older. My grandfather took 3 years off when he married whether my gran ever knew I dont know because the rest of the family never did. |

Eileen is a variant for Ellen, all the children from the 1901 census that jax give you, baptism are on the same site. Mother Mary Ware/Weir/Weare. |

I now going to apply for a birth certificate for Eileen Teressa Scanlon born on 3 June 1898. I think her baptism name is different than her registered name. |
