duplicating relations in tree

many of my relations appear in more then one way, i.e in their birth family and marry some one already in my tree. However the only way to include this is by putting the same person in again they then appear to be 2 people and the whole tree becomes more complicated. Does anyone else find this a problem?

This comes up regularly. If you use a 'proper' genealogy program it will handle this no problem. A gedcom then uploaded to GR will show the person only once in your tree here too.
This site is no substitute for a specifically designed program.
