I rarely print the original census image anymore, that is saved to my hard drive, however I do print is the transcription for the family in question. I then check that with the image and mark any corrections. |

Transfer the images to say Picassa photo editing, you can then crop the image to get rid of the unwanted stuff.then print off |

I have a graphics programme which cuts the background. My old windows xp did it by saving as a document then use the cropping tool and I think windows 7 which I now have has a snipping tool built in |

The images you get from Ancestry don't have the black background. Possibly the same is true for FMP/Genes. |
