Hi, Can anyone advise what a Census Summary Book as opposed to the actual Census Record is? And can I use this Summary to find the actual record.

I'm puzzled by a Mrs Reinmann, living at 111 Welham Road, Wandsworth.

I have found the other Reinmanns living at a different address, they are family but there is one person missing and I think this Mrs Reinmann is the wife of the Charles Latham Reinmanns who I can trace until his marriage in 1909 but then vanishes

Having trouble finding Charles Latham Reinmann in 1911.

You can see the summary books on Findmypast.

They are just a list of every address that the enumerator visits on the census night and it just lists the name of the occupier (or head of household) and no one else.

It lists the address, type of dwelling, name of occupier, and how many males and how many females.

Wow, thanks folks,

Charles Reinmann and Emma Reinmann (nee Latham) had two children, Minna Reinmann and Charles Latham Reinman. Minna lived and worked in her parents hotel and remained single with no children.

Charles Latham Reinmann is on all Census' till 1901 and marries in 1909 to either Alice, Alys or Ellen Hall. But I cant confirm which.

Kucinta - thanks for the help - I dont think she is his widow after all and that other Reinmanns are the ones I knew about.

Kathleen - that Charles Reinmann's death is his father. Charles Latham Reinmann remains at large! I guess he emigrated. Not sure how to pursue it - been a whole Bank Holiday dedicated to him.
