My husband is going on an away boys toys holiday and I am wondering if I might pop over to UK to do some research on my tree. I have family registered in Yorkshire and have traced back online to 1785ish and am now stuck. Will records later than 1837 be available in London and will others be available in their original district. I am thinking in particular of Hull, Whitby and East and West Yorks.Yorks |

The Records Office in Islington no longer holds the big ledgers of BMDs GRO indexes. They were transferred to Kew but are in storage to be microfiched. |
