What is the position regarding records of people from the Isle of Man? My great grandmothers family was manx. I am having difficulty finding birth records. Strangely, they do appear on the census lists. |

I must admit I have not tried in Ancestry. I will have a look there first, then come back. I did not realise there could be such a difference. |

I did try over a year ago to find them in Ancestry too, thought I was doing it wrong and went on to to other things. Tried again today with no more success. |

Just realised I do have returns for all the censuses. I had to do quite a lot of cross referencing using the children's names to find them though. |
