Since the 16th century,[7] the majority of the city's inhabitants were German-speakers, who called it Danzig ['dants?รง] ( listen). This name was also used in English[8] until the end of World War II, and is still used in historical contexts. Other former English spellings of the name include Dantzig, Dantsic and Dantzic.

I think on the original page the birthplace looks like Danzic (should have been spelt Danzig) which is in Poland and is now known as Gdansk.

one of my ancestor was born in dantric where is it . he was john camp born 1779 british subject on 1851 census - on the 1841 census he was in a workhouse. where can i find more information about the workhouse
