Member Since: March 2003 Posts: 7,819 Send Message	I sent off 12 messages this morning to members who have connections with my grandson's mum's birth surname. Half have been opened and, all those have replied confirming either themselves or their partners to be distant cousins. Is that a result or what.....? :-)

Member Since: March 2003 Posts: 7,819 Send Message	I usually find that i get somewhere around 70% response eventually, but have to wait a couple of week. Todays response of 50% within a few hours was better than usual. If I think there is a good connection I often follow up opened messages after a few weeks and this can bring another 50% response. If they haven't opened it then, as you say, delete and forget.

	I have had replies, too - nothing to do with mutual ancestral family though ;-)
