Hi everyone,
thanks all for your help that thread connection was mine, I will wait for the marriage cert and if correct contact the member regarding Ashover, I have sent a couple of messages - on Ancestry and here to people who have the other girls names in the school from 1911 on their trees..
May McLaughlin was a music teacher on the 1901 Census in Wallsey Cheshire - has anyone the full subscription for Find My Past if they could look for her under teacher registrations as I might try to trace her as well.
Thanks

There is only one birth for a Sydney Ashover
Births Sep 1883 Ashover Sydney Tamworth 6b 423
so it seems this marriage must be him remarrying after Daisy / Rosalind's death
Marriages Dec 1934 Ashover Sydney Chapman Nottingham 7b 945 Chapman Anne Ashover Nottingham 7b 945
there are no births for those surnames but it could have been a second marriage for Anne too so the births could show a different mother's surname
a member of genesreunited has Sydney Ashover in their family tree

Hi
thanks for your information yes you are both right, - I cannot believe it looks as if she died in 1921 just as I was getting excited with the thought of ancestors, still will send for the marriage cert and then the death cert.
I really don't have much luck with this family two of them Lewin and Ethel never had any children, so many people in those days had large families and mine seem to be the opposite.
Any one any ideas about the School, I may try and trace relations of the Principal or other girls and contact the Wiltshire family history.

I am so excited after spending years looking for what happened to her after her mother died in 1903 and the family spilt up, I was contacted again by the grandson of Percy Dodd her brother, he had looked more carefully at a book that he had and saw an entry for a ROSALIND DODD born same year (wish he had noticed a long time ago)
Have immediately found her on 1911 Census in a boarding school The Chantry, Mere, Wilshire, two Governess, a Principal, domestic and 6 girls. It sound very posh and wondered how she got there and any details of it.
Even better I have now found a marriage for a Rosalind D Dodd in Poole in 1920 so am going to send for this cert.
