I did a look up today for my Aunt's wedding. |

Ancestry shows a match of those names, when Kathleen married Cyril B. |

The number against your Aunt's name (or her name) has probably been mistranscribed, or even missed off! Strangely, no one with the 1st name of Kathleen is transcribed for that quarter or reg district. |

The transcribing by FreeBMD is from the GRO Indices which are held alphabetically by surnames. So presumably some of the Ms haven't been done yet. |

It does appear that the page that includes Kathleen Mortimer has not yet been transcribed. I have access to this page, being a transcriber for freebmd, and searched for other names on the page and none showed up. |

Since you know the year and quarter of interest, you can go to FreeBMD's home page and take the view images link, and, via a klunky interface, eventually get to the Mortimer page in the index, and check her out yourself. |
