Birth & Death reference numbers?

On 2 certificates I have sent for, the reference at the top right hand corner has been QBDY followed by the usual six numbers. I havent come across this before & wondered if anyone else has? One is a birth cert & one is a death cert. Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

Not quite sure what you are trying to read into it, but isn't it just part of the Certificate Number? i.e. the physical piece of paper, rather than anything to do with the actual entry content. |
