Hi to all that replied to my request for some Information in connection with my G/G/Grandfather William Littlefair's resting place in County Durham areas. I will have to contact the local council & take it from there. I just want to say a big thank you for all your replies. It's nice to know there is someone there who can give me some help, when I need it. Bless you all. |

Local newspapers often used to have lengthy funeral reports. You might be lucky enough to find one for your relative which would indicate where he was buried. |

I am trying to find out where my G/G/Grandfather is buried. His name was William Littlefair, he was born in 1841 at Startforth, Barnard Castle, County Durham. He lived in & around that area all his life. He died in 1925 & on the Free/B/M/D it states he died in Aukland, County Durham, so where would he have been buried, back to Barnard Castle? I would like to go & visit his grave if I could find where he is buried. Could anyone give me any ideas please? |
