Thought this might be useful for someone, one of a series of books that my local library has, which I discovered yesterday. Other titles cover the services, irish, Jewish ancestors, and I also noticed 'Textile workers...' on the shelf. Worth a look.

I have fishing industry connections so the book gives a lot of relevant social history, as well as where to access records :-)
