	The age was only raised to 16 in 1929 in Scotland, and a couple of years earlier in England & Wales. I don't know abt the rest of the UK.

	Girls were allowed to marry at the age of 12 in 1803 in the UK. Boys at the age of 14. In both cases Parental consent was required.
	Researching: Don't put off until tomorrow doing what you can do today. If you like doing it today you can do it again tomorrow. Be kind to your children for it is they who will decide which care home you end up in.

	Hi All I appear to have an ancestor who was married at the age of 15 in1803 I remenber reading somewhere that boys and girls were allowed to marry in their early teens.in the 18th and 19th century Does anyone out there know if this is true. Best wishes Norma
