Does anyone know what NDH means?

My grandfather was dismissed from the army suffering with NDH - does anyone know what NDH is ? Have tried looking it up on google etc; but can't find any medical reference |

Thanks Barbara - yes it is definately NDH - he also suffered from neuritis later so I thought it must be some kind of medical condition |

The only reference I can find for NDH is as a Military Separation Code |

I have taken this information from an inquest report - it is handwritten but looks like an N - the actual cause of death was gas poisoning which is unrelated to any medical condition. I haven't been able to find his army records as yet |

Neuritis fits in with hyperglycaemia as diabetes is a risk factor for this condition. I think (not 100% sure) that NDH is the same as pre-diabetes, which if unchecked goes on to develop into type-2 diabetes. That is, the type you get in middle age often related to obesity. |
