Is it possible if someone does not have with a sub with ancestry they can still view public trees?

No they can't. I've let my subscription lapse and when I click to look at them it asks you to sign up.

and also some private trees as well .............. People are not too happy about that!


You have to register, and sign in, but it is allegedly free.



It will not however allow me to sign in ........ I end up in one of those endless circles register->sign in->register->sign in-> ...................

i am registered with ancestry, but not as a paying member.

I also registered with mundia, and use the same sign in details as ancestry. in fact ancestry recognized me and prompted me to enter the same details.

I Have no trouble accessing public trees, but ancestry often asks me if I would like to subscribe !!

Money saved I can use for the power bill !

What does the term "Beta Users" mean.

beta is usually used as a term to describe a site that is under trial


so I guess mundia mean the users who have signed up to the test run fo the site



....... ie, the ones who have signed up during the free period, in this case.

Very interesting.I have worldwide sub for ancestry.I am putting a tree together for a friend that lives abroad.I wanted to put it on the net so she and her family could all access it.I have put it on Tribal Pages now but interesting to know what ancestry is doing.
