I am trying to confirm the parents of Henry Buggs1791-1846 married to Harriet Bishop 1791-1856. They married on the 22 December 1814. I don't know why but everytime I put info in for Henry up comes up with a zero response - yet I must have got some info for him before!
Any help appreciated Doreen

Thanks K, I thought I had my tree sorted with James & Mary (nee Weller) as the parent's of Henry and their parent's being Richard 1737-1807 m to Mildred nee Haysell (spelling seems to vary?)
BUT contact with other tree owners led me to belive I was wrong and it should be Henry Buggs 1772-1846 m Charlotte Goldsmith 1779-1839 as the parents of Henry and their parent's being John Buggs 1738-1803 m Ann Higgins 1731-1811.
I was very doubtful and still think I was on the right track in the first place. This was why I was asking for confirmation. Also I found info that Richard Buggs build the Cricketers Inn in Meopham which looks as though it stayed in the family for generations - but in that respect I could find no record of a John Buggs. What do you thinks?

I saw those trees on Ancestry and can't work out why they have attached your Henry to a Henry and a wife who married 10 years after your Henry was born. I agree with your interpretataion.
There are several trees on Ancestry that start with James born 1764 and work backwards which seem more straightforward.
The Jno Buggs could even refer to a Jonathan Buggs

k,
Thank you - it really has been bugging me ( not a pun but there are so many of them in Meopham!)
I will change my tree back and go forth or backwards as is the case!
Thanks again Doreen

This name rang a bell with me as my maternal line is from Meopham.
Have you checked the Medway City Ark site for the Meopham registers? They are well documented and fun to read through. The nearest Henry I could see in a quick search was born in 1789 to James and Mary Buggs.
Well worth a look. Regards. Cynthia.

Ann of Green Gables and Cynthia, Thank you both. I found and printed a copy of Henry and Harriet's marriage lines from Medway City Ark but couldn't find it on Ancestry of GR.
Cynthia, you are right the Medway City Ark site is very good and fun to read! Have found lots of info to follow up on that site.
I got back to James and Mary nee Weller and before them his parents as said before Richard & Mildred. I think Henry's grandparents were William 1701-? and Mary nee Plummer 1706 - ? but have to do a bit more digging to confirm this.
Thanks again Doreen

Hi Paul and welcome to the boards.
First of all, could you please edit your post and take your email address out. GR advise against us posting our addresses on this public forum. Thanks.
Now, re the Buggs family, if you are looking for connections on this site, then you really need to put the names you have into the Search Box above (in the dark green bar) to see who else on this site has them in their tree. If you find a connection, you can contact the tree owner.
The way these boards work means that you need to go looking for connections rather than connected people seeing your post.....hope that makes sense :-D
I will now send you a private message (pm) re how to find and reply on here in case you haven't sussed it out as yet ;-)
Regards. Cx.
