Can someone tell me the earliest date that marriage certificates are available. |

certificates from 1st July 1837 ie Sept qtr 1837 when official registration started however before then you can see copies of the parish records of marriages but they dont state fathers names and the ages of the parties will be "of Full Age" ie over 21 or "Minor" ie under 21 . this practice of age recording carried on after certs started too |

Some London marriages on Ancestry for 1835 and 1836 are the same as those used from1837 onwards |

There aren't any certs before 1837, what Glitter has found for you are entries in Parish Church Registers for Baptisms. |
