can anyone tell me how i can print out my family tree in fancy writing please?--and can you explain in an easily understandable way please?i cant figure out how to get a chosen font onto my tree at genes then print out???--or do i have to physically copy every name in my tree to the new font AFTER it is printed out?? |

I agree with Lindsey*. Unless you only have about 4 people in your tree you are never going to be able to print it out in a way that looks o.k. using a home printer as you will be limited to printing on A4. |

The services offered by GP are great if you are looking for something special, for example a wall chart to display a a family reunion, or a present for a cherished relative. |

hi, yes i have printed out my tree-in the plain print. what i was looking to do was just the wording -names/dates/etc being fancy. |

Not sure which version of FamilyTreeMaker you are using but on the 2005 version when you go to "tree charts" there are a line of boxes comes up on the right hand side of the screen where you can decide what items you want to include in the print out of your chart. There is one box with an "A, B, C" on it. If you click that you can choose different fonts. |

thanks for the link kathleen will try it. i made a boob on the name of the programme i have-i have `GENERATIONS 8`-and try as i might i cant understand the book or the 20 cd`s . so if anyone on here is familiar with this programme i`d be very grateful for any advice on using it please. |

Can't speak tor Generations 8 but certainly FTM 2011, the most recent version, allows you to select any font you happen to have installed on your computer. |
