Hi, if you have an ancestry account you could look on there to see if she has a tree on there too. Maybe she used different email addresses.
It's worth a try

Thanks Wendy. I think they are both relieved to be in touch with each other and hopefully any unanswered questions will be answered.

I also hope they will meet up, it's still all new to them both, so hopefully things will progress soon.

Madmeg did actually suggest using Ancestry, and was happy to look it up for me as I don't have an account. I was just waiting on the results of the Electoral Roll before I went down that route.

Hi all

Update : my friend and her birth mother spoke yesterday. It seems like ages since we made the contact (but it was only five days ago). They have so much in common, same height, same occupations etc. So many coincidences, it's brilliant.

Hopefully a meeting will happen soon, as soon as my friend has got her head round the situation fully and realises that it's not a dream.
