Any tips for tracing Russian ancestors - all we have so far is a British marriage certificate with a name and age. The surname before marriage for the lady is given as Panutina or Palcontina - not sure why it is either or? She was born in 1896 - not sure where as yet. Her father is Vasil Panutin a general in the russian army. Any tips gratefully received - not sure where to start! Cheers |
