Hi ,
I wonder if someone could lend a hand,
I have a William Arthur Sant b.26 July 1892 at Salford,Manchester.in 1911 census he's living with his soon to be wife Ada Suddaby and her family at Stockport,Cheshire. They get married 1916 at Stockport.
Upon googlein William ive found he and his family moved to Canada sometime round 1912, he joined the Canadian Army there, came back to the UK before going to France, and in that time married Ada.
He was killed 28 Jan 1917. On Ancestry there's a William Sant "Canada Soldiers of the 1st WW" but i can't get into that record, and it's not "Arthur" What i want to know, is it the same chap? when did they go to Canada?. Acording to google his parents are Arthur and Mary Sant 1901 census living at Stockport. Ada was b.1887 Southwell,Notts and died 1954 at Stockport. I do hope someone can help. Regards Sue
